Aiming to help the government boost the economy through tourism, private organizations in the travel industry continue to initiate efforts that will improve the country's image as a top tourist destination. One such effort is Enjoy Travel Manila, the new handy pocket travel guide filled with information showcasing the best attractions in Metro Manila, the primary gateway to exploring the rest of the country.

Enjoy Travel Manila was recently launched through the famed Walk This Way tours of Carlos Celdran, where 100 copies of the guide were given out to the participants. The guide includes a complimentary Enjoy card which offers a 10% discount at La Monja Loca (the Walk This Way tours gift shop featuring Filipino products), among many other privileges. Participants also received free tickets to major museums in the city such as the Metropolitan Museum, Ayala Museum, Bayanihan Museum, Yuchengco Museum, Museo Pambata, National Museum and Bahay Tsinoy.

"Aside from promoting fun and excitement in the metro, we at Enjoy are also committed to boosting the local tourism industry. We have a whole year ahead of us so we see that this is the right time to inform, remind and excite both foreign visitors and Filipinos about the amazing destinations in the Philippines, starting with its gateway and capital city, Manila," says Enjoy marketing director Alfie Sy.

The guide, independently written, edited, and curated by seasoned travel magazine editors and writers Pierra Labrador and Mabel David Pilar, is another offering from Enjoy Philippines, the country's fastest-growing loyalty and privilege marketing program. The condensed, direct-to-the-point and reader-friendly travel companion is a great welcome present for travelers visiting Manila as it is tailored to help make their stay more fun and worthwhile. It includes insider tips, neighborhood overviews, and savings worth over P100,000 at many of Manila's top restaurants, spas and attractions. The Enjoy Travel Manila kit can also be purchased at Fully Booked, Powerbooks and National Bookstore for only P599.

There is also EnjoyPH, a free downloadable mobile application with street maps to enable urbanites to find their way around the city. This complements the whole travel kit as it provides the latest news and promos about partner merchants right through one's mobile phone.

Together with the Enjoy card and EnjoyPH, the Enjoy Travel Manila guide is the ultimate resource for visitors to the country's central business and lifestyle area-as well as Filipinos looking to refresh their knowledge of the city-serving as a channel to promote and boost Philippine tourism.
